Addis Ababa, April 9, 2019 (FBC) –The newly appointed Ambassador of
Ethiopia to the United States, Fitsum Arega, presented his credentials
to President Donald Trump in a ceremony held at the White House.
On a Twitter post, Ambassador Fitsum said “It is a great honor to present my credentials to @realDonaldTrump at a White House ceremony.”
“ I’ll work tirelessly to strengthen the friendship, in our foreign
policy priorities mostly in economic growth & regional security.”
President Trump remarked “…The historic and sweeping reforms now
taking place under the visionary leadership of your Prime Minister Dr
Abiy Ahmed, reaffirms Ethiopia’s place as a leading light on the African
continent.
“Mr Ambassador, I look forward to working with you to advance our
common agenda and deepen the bonds between our countries. It is a
pleasure to welcome you to Washington.”
